John Mark McMillan – The Medicine
Posted: January 19, 2011 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a commentAs “How He loves” continues to be the “i’ll do a version of this” song of the past year or so, John Mark McMillan (the writer of the song) released his album “The Medicine” recently. McMillan songs may not immediately strike you as congregation friendly but perhaps his very fresh lyrics that are clearly drenched in theology might spark off creativity in yourself. Songs i’m enjoying atm are “Death in His Grace”, “Carbon Ribs”, “Dress Us Up”, and of course “How He loves”. The album can be found on spotify here

Posted: January 18, 2011 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a commentPaul Baloche (written songs such as Our God Saves, Praise is rising…) has written a good short article on why maybe some musicians should stop seeing themselves as simply “the band guy” and step up into leading. Find it here
